VERY cheap construction and apparent corners cut Super cheapo construction. The very minimal inner pads are affixed to the helmet with the tiniest velcro spots imaginable. Hard plastic parts on the adjustment wheel are of cheap plastic and have sharp edges up against your kid’s head and hair. I actually got two at once, and both had glue spots where the plastic cover was inaccurately glued to the foam. The small plastic parts on the lower rear of the foam are separate parts and are glued on with the edges left to snag on anything. And,…
Good value, fits well, handsome looking, CPSC certified We ordered a few helmets for my 9 year old from Amazon and REI. Also went to Walmart to see what they had. None of them, except this one worked. The size is right. The other Schwinn helmet (see my review for Schwinn Youth Intercept Helmet, Green) we ordered from Amazon was badly manufactured.
