4 out of 5 stars XL means XL!   January 17, 2010
MrB (MurderMile)
At last 661 get their [...] together to make XL shin guards that fit an actual human leg! I've used these recently for the first time and found them great - not as big a deal as full on leg guards they are a perfect option for easier rides - still offering reasonable protection from briar whip or the odd skid-drop onto nasty gravel. I wore them in combo with their EVO knee pads Sixsixone Evo Knee Pad and after two seconds forgot I had them on.
Good buy.

4 out of 5 stars Good, but warm   June 9, 2009
Master Lee (Frisco, TX United States)
as for protection, it is perfect. It covers front and back of your shin, so it will block the air flow. It does have a good moisture wicking material, but it still gets warm although it was bearable in 95 degrees.
